Research on Establishment and Implementation of Local Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan for Reinforcing Implementation of the 5th National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan of Korea

Granted by the National Institute of Biological Research, KO has been conducting research and producing research report, consists of 6 parts:

International and national policy trends on LBSAPs,
Analysis and limitation of formerly established LBSAPs in Korea,
Guideline for the local government officials on establishing and implementing LBSAPs,
Reinforcing civil and local community participation, including the local governance, citizen science and CEPA,
Supporting pilot cities that are newly establishing LBSAPs, and
Operation of local network of LBSAPs and network forums.

Guideline is built upon the ICLEI resources on the guidelines of BSAPs published by ICLEI CBC, and also aligns with the CitiesWithNature Action Platform framework.
