ICLEI is providing a space through DC2022 to bring together local and regional governments from across the world, by using the EXCHANGE (Know – Act – Lead) – DISSEMINATE – ADVOCATE methodology. DC2022 should have a positive impact on climate emergency in the following way: bringing local and regional governments together, some of which have declared climate emergency in their town, city, or region, will inspire further local and regional governments to do the same, further leading to properly addressing the issue.
