The Climate Action Planning Academy is part of the Pact’s portfolio of activities in partnership with ICLEI South America and aims to train and level up local governments that are signatories to the Global Pact of Mayors for Climate and Energy and other local governments in Latin America . The Academy includes two cycles of three training courses, namely: Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (IEGEE), Climate Risk and Vulnerability Analysis (ARVC), and Climate Action Plan (PAC). Based on these trainings, local governments will be able to move towards low-carbon and climate-resilient sustainable development, with the knowledge of the necessary tools so that they can have a robust policy for planning and implementing actions focused on combating and preventing the climate crisis. ICLEI South America is recognized for offering training on various topics that relate to the sustainability of local governments, more specifically in tackling climate change and its consequences.
